Georgia has a long painting season, but heat, humidity, pollen and rain all affect how well exterior paint goes on and cures.
Spring and Fall Are Ideal
Mild temperatures and lower humidity in spring and fall give paint the best chance to dry evenly. That is why these months book up first.
Summer Heat and Humidity
You can paint in summer, but we start early, follow the shade around the house and avoid painting surfaces in direct afternoon sun, which can cause lap marks and blistering.
Pollen Season
In early spring, pine pollen coats everything. We wash right before painting so the new coat does not trap a yellow film underneath.
Winter Painting
Many modern paints can go on at lower temperatures, and our winters are mild. On cold or wet days we switch to interior work and come back when the weather is right.
Plan Ahead
If you want your house painted in spring or fall, call a few weeks early. We are glad to come out, give you an estimate and get you on the schedule.
